As of the 1st of September 2024, SAS Scandinavian Airlines will no longer be a member of Star Alliance. Miles+Bonus members will not be able to earn and/or redeem miles when flying with SAS, or enjoy any tier related with SAS benefits.

More specifically:

• Miles+Bonus members will earn miles for SAS flights up until 31st of August 2024 (23:59 UTC), regardless of the ticket's purchase date..
• Members can ask for miles accrual retroactively, by accessing Miles+Bonus account until 30.11.2024 for SAS flights up until 31.08.2024 (23:59 UTC).
• Members will be able to redeem miles for award tickets with SAS up until 31st of August 2024 (23:59 UTC). All award tickets issued by this time, no matter the flight dates, will be valid.
• Members will be able to proceed with Star Alliance upgrades via their Miles+Bonus account on any SAS flights up until 31.08.2024 (23:59 UTC).
• Members will not be able to use any Star Alliance tier related benefit (e.g. extra baggage, access to SAS lounges etc.) when flying with SAS as of 1st of September 2024.
