With effect from 20 April 2012, British Midland International (bmi) is no longer a member of Star Alliance.

Miles&Bonus members can continue to earn and redeem award flights on bmi until 31 May 2012. Members can continue to make retroactive mileage claims on bmi flights until 31 October 2012.

In addition Miles&Bonus Gold members can enjoy Star Alliance Gold benefits when flying with bmi up to 31 May 2012.
